Reuniting Comes From Within

When I found out that I could love you,
And you loved me, it was a dream come true.
I began to see you within me
And hoped that you could see that too.

The possibilities were endless
Just like my feelings for you
A love so deep and true
That I felt like I knew you.

You left me with shattered hopes
And a heart broken into two.
Sleepless nights turned into days
Where I had no idea what to do.

Those days went by in endless haze
Where I went searching for you.
I felt your pain but not your touch,
Only a spirit when I needed you.


Days turned into months and I grew.
I learnt to love myself and not need you.
With new found strength and lessons learned
It turned out I was to lead you.

And there you are back again
My love, my heart until the end.
For we have learned a simple truth
That reuniting comes from within.
