The Famous Irish Claddagh RingHi All, In my group we are beginning to work on our fears and the first thing we have to do is to admit that we have them. I know that can be a hard task for you but if you do not admit it how can you work on it. Many have mentioned fears that have come from their childhood, my personal one is swimming in a pool, it is a fear I have yet to surmount but I will not stop until I get to be where I want to be with this, that right there takes courage and determination and I sure know if I can do it so can you. “To escape fear, you have to go through it, not around.” ~ Richie Norton At a young age I was always attracted to the famous irish claddagh ring, it was one of my favorite things, I did not realize why until recently and now I firmly believe that it does depict the twin flame relationship. So as you can see from the image above the ring has two hands holding a heart with a crown. It was the hands holding the heart that always intrigued me, did it mean my heart was in your hands, meaning the person who gave you the ring or did it mean my heart is in your hands as in giving their heart to you. In the end I went with lasting love and eternal friendship. The heart ~ symbolizes love The hands ~ friendship The crown ~ fidelity. My mother bought me one because every time I went to the jewelry store I would say I would love to have one of those to give to the love of my life in the future, I was wearing it one day going in the gate of my grandmother's house and my ring got caught in the latch, I pulled but could not get it out, then my grandfather came out to help me and when he freed the ring it broke with the heart digging into my finger and it has left a scar on my finger that I still have today. I now believe that was to represent my past ~ the ring being split in two but the heart in tact and my future ~ when the love of my life got it fixed for me. How does the tradition go? If worn on your right hard with the crown turned inwards your heart is yet to be occupied,if worn on your right hand with the crown turned outwards it shows a special commitment to someone, lastly worn on your left hand crown turned outwards meant let our love and friendship never to be separated. Which way did I wear mine? As you can see from the image of my scar first it is in the shape of a heart, a scar is permanent but I wore it on my right hand that meant I had a commitment to someone however when my twin flame fixed it and put in on me after all those years, he put it on my left hand with the crown turned outwards. He was the only one who cared to fix it. Twin Flames!! That leads me onto what happened later that day, I was about to leave my grandparents home when my grandmother called me into her room, she went over to her jewelry box and handed me two halves of a heart, she said that you pick one and keep it, I want you to keep the other one for the person you can not live without, you will know who it is when you meet him. My twin flame was the only person I ever felt was worthy of getting the other half of my heart!! I always felt my grandmother knew more than she let on to me.
